Placement Tips
Mount the house 10 to 30 feet high on a tree trunk or post near open woodland or a field edge. Owls and kestrels don't carry in nesting material, so add 2 to 3 inches of untreated wood shavings to the floor before nesting season, and clean the box out each fall.
