American goldfinches, house finches and pine siskins are small seed eaters that flock to the right feeder. Finch feeders with tiny ports or fine mesh hold Nyjer (thistle) seed and sunflower hearts without spilling.

Keep Nyjer fresh and dry, since finches will skip seed that has gone stale or clumped.
