PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Coveside Classic Eastern Bluebird House
Add a familiar roosting spot to your bird garden by placing this Coveside Classic Eastern Bluebird House in it. This timeless nest box is wonderfully suited for bluebirds living east of the Rocky Mountains, helping them maintain their populations. Crafted from pine, this shelter blends with your natural surroundings easily, and its 1.5" diameter, front opening allows bluebirds to enter it. A predator guard rests atop this entry, deepening it to prevent squirrels and raccoons from reaching into the home, and an overhanging, slanted roof directs rain away from the cavity. Gaps below this roof line ventilate the piece, and one side panel opens upward for nest checks. A flat back with a hanger makes it simple to affix the item to a wall or fence line, or an adapter (not included) can be placed on the back or base for more mounting options. The yellow tone of the pine body ages beautifully over time, and its 0.75" thickness creates a robust abode. Use this Classic Eastern Bluebird House to provide fantastic housing for musical bluebirds in your wildlife sanctuary. Made in the USA.Opening: 1.5" dia.
Dimensions: 8.5"L x 5.75"W x 12.5"H
Mounting: wall, pole, or post mount
Construction: pine
Placement Tips
Mount your bluebird house 4 to 6 feet off the ground on a pole or post in an open, grassy area with a few scattered trees nearby. Face the entrance away from prevailing winds, ideally toward a tree or shrub within 100 feet so fledglings have a safe first landing spot. Add a predator guard or pole baffle to keep out raccoons, cats and snakes, and space multiple houses at least 100 yards apart.
