Coveside Backyard Bird House | Handcrafted Decorative Birdhouse

Coveside Backyard Bird House

Add handcrafted character to your backyard with the Coveside Backyard Bird House, a birdhouse that doubles as a statement piece for your garden. This fantastic home is ideally designed for most types of common backyard birds, lending you a versatile, diverse abode for feathered friends. With a spacious 1. 5" diameter entrance hole, a wide array of songbirds may easily enter the roost, while the attached slate predator guard is upcycled from old northeast architecture for a beautiful and unique element of security against unwanted pests. The substantial pitched roof significantly overhangs the entrance, protecting the roost from precipitation and outdoor elements, while ventilation slots on either edge of the roof ensure the interior temperature remains comfortably regulated. Angled corners on the domicile's bottom panel offer extra spaces for drainage, and the unit's rough hewn, pine construction adds a rustic hint while providing nestlings a secure grip when they attempt to exit the home.

Placement Tips

For nesting, place the birdhouse 5 to 10 feet high in a quiet, partly shaded spot on a post, fence or sturdy tree, facing away from prevailing winds. Small entrance holes attract wrens, chickadees and other small songbirds. Clean out old nests each fall, and if you would rather use it purely as garden decor, a covered porch or patio shelf will keep the finish looking its best for years.
