Bird In Hand Amish Beavertown Bird Shack | Rustic Handcrafted Birdhouse

Bird In Hand Amish Beavertown Bird Shack

Add handcrafted, rustic character to your backyard with the Bird In Hand Amish Beavertown Bird Shack, a birdhouse that doubles as a statement piece for your garden. The familiar shape of this piece mimics one room pioneer homes traditionally found in Appalachia, thanks to its extended metal roof and supporting columns. Crafted from reclaimed wood, the distressed body lends an antique look to your yard in moments, enhanced by the weathered white and gray finish. The square body provides birds plenty of nesting area, while a 1. 25" diameter entry makes it simple for them to access the unit. Expect visits from wrens and chickadees & titmice.

Placement Tips

For nesting, place the birdhouse 5 to 10 feet high in a quiet, partly shaded spot on a post, fence or sturdy tree, facing away from prevailing winds. Small entrance holes attract wrens, chickadees and other small songbirds. Clean out old nests each fall, and if you would rather use it purely as garden decor, a covered porch or patio shelf will keep the finish looking its best for years.
