Hummingbird Feeding Tips

Placement

Hang the feeder in partial shade near flowers or shrubs, and where you can see it from a window. Shade helps keep nectar fresh longer.

Nectar

Mix one part white sugar to four parts water. Red dye is not needed; the red base and flower ports already attract hummingbirds.

Cleaning

Replace nectar every few days, and more often in hot weather. Take the base apart and rinse each piece with warm water at every refill.
