Peanut Feeding Tips

Choosing Peanuts

Use raw or unsalted shelled peanuts made for wild birds. Never offer salted or flavored peanuts.

Keeping Food Fresh

Fill only what birds will eat in a week or two, and empty any damp or moldy food right away.

Who Will Visit

Expect woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, titmice and blue jays. Peanuts are especially valuable high-energy food in winter.
