Audubon Cedar Bluebird House, 1.5 Inch Entrance, Post Mount

Give bluebirds a handcrafted haven with the Audubon Cedar Bluebird House. Built from 0.75-inch thick natural cedar, this classic house is designed around what bluebirds need: a 1.5-inch entrance placed high on the front for a deep, safe nest cavity, a sloped roof for rain protection, and gaps for drainage and ventilation.

Bluebird House Tips

Placement

Mount the house 4 to 6 feet high on a post in an open, grassy area with a nearby perch for fledglings.

Timing

Install in late winter so bluebirds find it when they begin scouting for nest sites.

Monitoring

Open the front panel weekly to check on the nest, and clean out old nesting material after each brood fledges.
